Following their party defection, Senators Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife were given to Anambra State members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A few weeks ago, Ubah said that he was switching from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the APC.
When Chief Basil EJidike, the state chairman of the APC, officially welcomed the two senators, he praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership abilities and asked for greater dedication from the party’s members.
In reference to the possibility that the APC may win Anambra State in 2025 thanks to the newcomers, Ejidike stated: “We have the resources and manpower to accomplish this enormous achievement if we so want.
We will have another chance to run for and win the Anambra State Government House in 2025. Let’s work together as a family to accomplish this objective for our celebration.
“As their hallmark, I implore the new members to never waver in their unwavering and upbeat humanitarian attitudes. We implore you to give the celebration twice as much of this innate spirit.
“With no doubt, the APC will give you the means to take this to the next level. I promise to always support and work with you in all of our interactions. Please know that everyone’s political ambitions may be accommodated by the size of the party.
During his speech, Ubah declared that the APC’s wait to seize Anambra was over.
“APC would no longer remain silent in Anambra, pretending that everything was fine when things were going wrong,” he declared. The APC has at last made its way to Anambra State.
