Chief Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, Chairman of E.C.K Foundation Worldwide, has reaffirmed his commitment to women’s empowerment and sustainable development as he received members of the Bende Women Wing of the E.C.K Foundation during a courtesy and solidarity visit on January 4, 2026.

The interactive meeting, held in a warm and convivial atmosphere, provided an opportunity for Chief Kalu to engage directly with the women, listen to their concerns, and outline his vision for a more prosperous future for families across Abia North Senatorial Zone.

Addressing the women, Chief Kalu assured them of a better life ahead, stressing that his aspiration to represent Abia North in the Senate is anchored on long-term development rather than temporary reliefs.

“My ambition is not about giving handouts,” he said. “It is about building a future where our children are educated, skilled, empowered to do business, and earn decent incomes that will guarantee comfort and dignity for their parents.”

He emphasized that women remain central to his development agenda, noting that empowering women translates directly into stronger families and communities. According to him, access to quality education, vocational skills, and economic opportunities will form the backbone of his proposed legislative focus if elected.

Chief Kalu further appealed for the continued support and cooperation of the women, assuring them that their trust would be matched with purposeful representation, people-oriented policies, and programs aimed at reducing poverty and unemployment in the senatorial zone.

In their remarks, leaders of the Bende Women Wing of the E.C.K Foundation commended Chief Kalu for his consistency, accessibility, and philanthropic efforts through the foundation. They described him as a grassroots leader with a genuine understanding of the needs of women and families, pledging their continued solidarity and support for his vision.

The visit reinforces Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu’s growing engagement with key stakeholders across Abia North as consultations and grassroots interactions intensify ahead of future political activities.
At the end of the meeting, every woman present smiled home with E.C.K Bag of Rice and handsome cash give.
