As Muslims across Nigeria and the world prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the Chairman of E.C.K. Foundation, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has called on the faithful to embrace the deeper spiritual essence of the season by reflecting on its core values of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion.

In a goodwill message released ahead of the celebration, Chief Kalu emphasized that Eid-el-Kabir is not merely a festive period marked by feasting and merriment, but a sacred moment that reminds humanity of the importance of total submission to God and selfless service to others.

He noted that the story behind Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes unwavering faith and the ultimate act of sacrifice, virtues that remain highly relevant in today’s world, especially at a time when societies are grappling with division, intolerance, and economic hardship.

According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir presents a unique opportunity for sober reflection. It is a time for individuals and communities to look inward, reassess their values, and renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence and the collective good of humanity.”

Chief Kalu urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to promote unity, not just within their communities, but across religious and ethnic lines. He stressed that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity and that mutual respect, understanding, and love are essential for national progress and stability.

He further called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious affiliation, to draw lessons from the spirit of Eid by extending kindness to the less privileged, fostering harmony, and working together to build a more inclusive and compassionate society.

“As we celebrate, let us remember those in need and extend a hand of fellowship. Let us rise above our differences and focus on what unites us as one people. True worship is reflected in how we treat one another,” he added.

The E.C.K. Foundation Chairman also encouraged leaders at all levels to prioritize policies and actions that promote unity, justice, and social welfare, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and cooperation.

He concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to remain steadfast in faith and committed to the ideals that uplift humanity.

Eid Mubarak.
