I am writing to correct a misdirected statement accusing Kola Ologbodiyan of insulting Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s 2023 Presidential candidate, during an interview with Arise Television. The statement was actually made by Alade Aderian, who responded to Kola’s interview regarding the PDP leadership reconciliation and harmonization exercise.
Alade Aderian falsely claimed that Atiku Abubakar was the PDP’s greatest enemy, intending to loot the nation’s commonwealth if elected President to grow his investments in Dubai. This statement was not made by Kola Ologbodiyan, who is an ardent supporter of Atiku Abubakar and has worked to protect his interests with commitment and dedication.
Kola’s participation in the recent Presidential election demonstrates his support for Atiku, and he would not conceive of insulting or discrediting Atiku’s reputation publicly. In summary, I categorically state that Kola Ologbodiyan was not responsible for the ill-fated utterances; it was Alade Aderian. The public is hereby notified to disregard any further media publications accusing Kola of defaming Atiku’s personality.
Kola remains one of Atiku’s strong supporters, and his comments were limited to the leadership crisis of the party and the need for the North Central geo-political zone to complete its tenure of the national chairmanship of the party.
Sincerely,
Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu
