Mazi Chibuike Jonas, an APC Chieftain, has congratulated Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu on receiving the esteemed national honor of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) from the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Jonas praised Kalu’s outstanding achievements.
Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu, representing the Bende Federal Constituency, has demonstrated exceptional leadership as Deputy Speaker, championing education and advocating for increased funding for schools and scholarships. His commitment to national development, women and youth inclusion, and project implementation has earned him widespread recognition.
As an exemplary parliamentarian, Rt. Hon. Kalu has been pragmatic in proposing and supporting various bills and motions, and as the convener of the Peace in the South East Project (PISE-P), Kalu aims to resolve insecurity in the South East Region through non-kinetic means.
His charitable endeavors through the Benjamin Kalu Foundation have also made significant impacts in lives of many Nigerians.
As a magnanimous lawmaker, his effort in the making and passage of the Southeast Development Commission, SEDC is testament to his love for the region and Nigeria as a nation. He has attracted a lot of goodwill through his cordial relationship with the President, this has made the Southeast people to be happy with him, even as a state of the art Housing Scheme is under way for the region through his tiredles efforts.
