The President of the ECK Foundation, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has called on the Nigeria Military Authority to thoroughly investigate the recent revelation that has been making the rounds on social media. The officer in question, a frustrated female, has accused her tormentors of sexual harassment and possibly even threatened her life. If these serious accusations are not handled appropriately, they could damage the army’s reputation both domestically and internationally.
“My stance is based on the lines of submission provided by the impacted individual, who has stepped out in public despite caution. This is a chance to stop and prevent such incidents when the victims might not be brave enough to go public while the deterioration goes unchecked,” he proposed.
“I know they will come for me,” the girl wrote. I don’t care that they will fire me and lock me up. I can never bear that again. I can’t endure again before coming out to create this video. I wish to live a long life.
“Please hold Col. I.B. Abdulkareem, Col. G.S. Ogor, and Brig. Gen. I.B. Solebo accountable if anything were to happen to me; they do not want me to advance in life. They don’t want me to advance,” she said, somewhat.
“This is not a situation that should be taken lightly or ignored, especially because names have been stated in public. An investigation should be conducted, and any officers found to be at fault should face appropriate consequences in order to serve as a warning to others. If it turns out that the identities were false, the Nigerian public should be informed so that the officer can also be held accountable for her unprofessional behaviour.
“Our country’s pride, the Nigeria Military is a highly esteemed organisation both domestically and internationally. He counselled against allowing the actions of a few misguided individuals to tarnish her reputation by impolitic behaviour.
