A devastating attack on Faudiya Islamic School in Geidam, Yobe State, has left three students dead and one injured. The incident, which occurred on Friday morning, is believed to be the handiwork of Boko Haram insurgents.
According to Yobe State Police Command, the attackers, armed with AK-47 rifles and other weapons, stormed the school on motorcycles around 3:45 am. Initially intent on abduction, they opted to kill the students on the spot, citing the “burden” of transporting them.
Police spokesperson Dungus Abdulkarim confirmed the attack, stating that the divisional police headquarters received the report and promptly responded. Three dead students were evacuated, and one injured student was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Abdulkarim revealed that the attackers, numbering around 10, carried deadly arms and entered the school, taking four students. Three were killed instantly, while one was injured. The police are currently investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators and uncover the motive behind the attack.”
