Dr. John Mahama: Congratulations on Your Presidential Election Victory

I heartily write to congratulate Dr. John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on his electoral victory in the December 7th Ghana Presidential election. Your victory in the poll, to a reasonable point, confirms the height of trust and confidence of the people in your ability to transform and advance the economy of the old gold coast nation.

It is all about achieving transparent and accountable leadership, which actually guided the citizens to have massively delivered their majority votes in your favor. As an experienced and seasoned economist, your new administration would, among other things, aid Ghana in attaining greater heights in fighting inflation and other pressing economic challenges plaguing the nation.

Your ascension to power, following the recently conducted Presidential election, would in no small measure largely contribute to sustaining balanced socio-economic integration in the West African region. Leadership established on the solid ground of trust remains the cornerstone by which national economic advancement thrives, and your incoming administration is believed to have these goals realized.

For the outgoing Vice President Bawumia, who doubled as the ruling party’s Presidential flag bearer, to have conceded defeat before the final result announcement underscores the degree of public confidence in your capacity to again make Ghana great. However, you are truly a leader par excellence, and your government would, in doubt, succeed in broadening bilateral security and economic relationships among African nation-states.

Finally, The ECK Foundation solidly stands by you as your incoming administration prepares to grow a new seed of wider infrastructural development, economic revamping, and socio-human and security relationships among West African States and the world at large. The level of transparency and fairness with which the Ghana Presidential election was conducted, and an opposition candidate emerged the winner, opens a new chapter of thought for the Nigerian electoral umpire to read and toe its path.

Political power isn’t a do-or-die affair, and any government that fails to respect the popular opinion of the people is not only seen to be anti-democratic but also one laced in tyranny.
